Size: Small to Medium, average weight
old cocks 15 ounces, old hence 13 ounces.
Ornaments: Plain-headed or needle-point
crested, medium-muffed. The outer covert feathers of the wing and the short
feathers of the back are somewhat frilled. They have been likened to snowflakes
or ruffles. This feather conformation should be less developed than the curl of
the Frillback.
Colors: Self-white only, with orange eye.
Comment: The breed is very rare in United
States.

any one of the seven is neglected, trouble of some sort will eventually occur.

Hello, my name is Mahumud. I'm a 35 year old. I like different types of Bird as like as Pigeon, Parrot, Love Bird, etc.
None of those are Ptarmigan pigeons and they could be shell crested or plainhead not peak also dark eyes not orange.

ReplyDeleteanonymous above is correct, Ptarmigans are plain headed or shell crested, and all of the birds pictured are the species Ptarmigan (a bird akin to a grouse) but are not Ptarmigan pigeons. However, the eyes should be orange, not bull, as the birds are typically ash red grizzles, and therefore white but with orange eyes. anonymous2
